Victoria Fergusson Accessories

Victoria Fergusson
Accessories

From her studio in Salisbury, Wiltshire, Victoria Fergusson specialises in bead embroidery to create intricately detailed headdresses, hair combs, bridal belts and jewellery.  She is also an experienced make-up and hair artist.

“I studied Costume and Make-up for the Performing Arts at The London College of Fashion and through various projects became more and more drawn to embellishment work. I planned my own wedding during my final year and was seduced by the possibilities offered within the industry to satisfy my passion for beading and also continue to use my make-up an hair skills. The two sides of my business work so well together.

I find it quite hard to pin down my style, sometimes pretty, sometimes sophisticated but always elegant and more often than not influenced by the golden age of Hollywood and history of costume.
I love my work and still get a thrill every time I see a photo from a bride wearing my accessories, that’s what I love, seeing how a bride makes a piece her own.

Inspiration for new designs can fly into my head at any time. Sometimes it’s sparked by something I see in a book, film or museum and sometimes it’s simply by beautiful new gems and pearls that I source. When I get a new idea, I can’t bead fast enough to see the finished results! I can’t think of a career I’d prefer.  I get to be creative which is what makes me tick, while being in touch with happy and excited brides, who’s enthusiasm is infectious!”

Hourglass Gramophones

Hourglass Gramophones

Although a DJ for 30 years, Mark Somers-Baine has been restoring portable gramophones and DJing with the shellac for the past 5 years. Dressed as the "Irreverand Shellac", Mark will attend your wedding and set the perfect vintage ambiance with his Shellac sounds.

"Music is my passion and the restoration of portable gramophone players to their original factory shop floor condition is a natural extension of this. I play a range of periods rather than styles, from swing to rock and roll, as well as songs and dance music from the 30's 40's and 50's. I am also building a collection of tunes from the 20's."

"As well as our own collection ,we have several boxes of tunes and portable gramophones for sale, spanning these 3 decades."

Hourglass Gramophones have recently exhibited in The Vintage Village at the Festival Hall in London during the summer of 2011 and also at the Revival at Goodwood.

Come to The Dorset Vintage Wedding Fair and hear Mark's tunes for yourself or visit him at "Hourglass Vintage Lifestyle" in the antiques market at 32 Catherine Street, Salisbury.

The Silver Rocketeer

Please excuse us if we give a squeal of excitement about The Silver Rocketeer joining us at The Dorset Vintage Wedding Fair on October 16th!

"Feeling blue?
Big day looming?
Still no ideas?
Thinking of calling the whole thing off?
Is your head spinning with images of plastic plates, plastic forks,
a plastic tent
and a bar service modelled on British Rail?
Got the disco?
The balloons?
The streamers?
Is that it?"

"Here at THE SILVER ROCKETEER,
we take liberty in believing we know what you think is missing.

Because we are dreamers too.

You want colour, elegance, romance.
You want class.

The day will be shared with family and friends.
You want them smiling, relaxed and perhaps a little amazed."

"The Silver Rocketeer gives you
"The AMY LEE"

Art Deco Cocktail Lounge."

"We tailor to guest numbers and the weather, employing furniture, awnings and marquees integral to this vehicle, along with a vast range of tunes from our discreet yet very capable music systems."

"Centre your event and bedazzle your guests with this timelessly cool and iconic design that spirits the team that runs her."
