THEY

Who are THEY?

THEY
was set up in 2012 by Martin Bird and Jill Adams to showcase their own ceramic mugs and print designs. Jill trained as a textile designer selling her work across  the UK, Europe and America. She has had her work sold in Selfridges, London, Covent Garden and has been featured in Timeout and Grazia. Martin is a whizz in the studio where all the magic happens and makes big machinery do what it’s told.

Together, THEY love creating good design. Anything from retro prints, whimsical ceramics for kids to Vintage Swedish inspired designs for grown ups!

Daisy Mays

The Dorset Vintage Wedding Fair welcomes Daisy May's

"Daisy May’s is a beautiful and unique little shop in Wareham, Dorset.
If you love gorgeous fabrics,  beautiful handmade gifts, quirky vintage clothes and all things fabulous for your home then you’ll love Daisy May’s.
As well as the shop there’s our cosy kitchen, a lovely courtyard garden and the busy workroom where we make beautiful soft furnishings and run our lively sewing groups and workshops."

As well as exhibiting a range of their home wares, Daisy May's will be showcasing their vintage bunting, perfect for adding the 'wow' factor to your wedding decor.

"There’s nothing like some lovely bunting to cheer you up.  We have it ready made by the metre or will make to order.  Great for a wedding , the garden, for a party or special occasion or to brighten up a child’s bedroom.  We even have kits which make a great present for a budding stitcher."

Come and meet Fiona and Mary from Daisy May's on October 16th, 2011 at Chettle House and admire their wonderful gifts and bunting for yourselves!

Nursey Bang Bang

Nursey Bang Bang first came to our attention through another vintage supplier but once we visited her site and saw all the wonderful, quirky gifts she hand makes, we were hooked! She would definitely be on our wedding gift wish list!

Here are a few words from Nursey......

My name is Jill Adams and I run a design company called Nursey Bang Bang which is based in Dorset on the South coast of England.  My work is retro inspired, always handmade and this year has featured in Grazia, Time Out, Mollie Makes and has been on sale in Maiden and Selfridges, London.
I write a regular blog at www.nurseybangbang.blogspot.com which offers reviews of artists, designers and makers, showcases my own work and has links to interesting sites and news on NBB events. I'm currently developing textiles to be exhibited at Pavilion Dance, Bournemouth and am showing my work with the London based organisation Craft Guerilla. Please visit my Etsy store to see more of my work which features prints and homeware.

On the day of the fair, as well as selling her lovely wares, Nursey will be running Bloom Loom workshops with the fabulous Miss Cream Tease. Never heard of Bloom Loom? Then watch Nursey's video below. You're in for a treat!

There's no need to book for the workshop, just turn up and take a seat (there will be a small charge for materials).

Nursey also edits a blog called "The Handmade Wedding" which showcases groovy ideas, products and trends for couples looking to create a more unique and personal feel for their day.

"I'm looking to hear from any groovy couples getting married in the South who would love to have their handmade wedding featured here. If we love your ideas then we will come along to your wedding take a few photos and write lovely things about you. You would be given a copy of all the images we take as a keepsake."

So many lovely things - we're already saving our pennies to spend at Nursey's stall on October 16th!
