Looking for something a bit different for your wedding reception? Why not let Miss Dolly's Vintage Parties create a classic high tea setting for your guests with their beautiful vintage china and eclectic vintage accessories?

Miss Dolly's collection of crockery is all English bone china and includes trios in a huge variety of colours and styles from Victorian to Art Deco through to 1960's. To compliment the china trios are cake stands, milk jugs, sugar bowls, teaspoons, knives, cake forks, sugar tongs and, of course, teapots. They also stock a selection of cut glass and pressed glass items, including decanters, glasses and bon bon dishes

To complete your table setting, Miss Dolly's also has a large variety of lace and embroidered vintage table cloths and runners available to hire.

From October, brides will be able to book private consultations at Miss Dolly's new studio to hand pick the china and accessories for their weddings. Accompanied by a pot of tea, naturally!

X SPEX - VINTAGE FOuR EYES

In 2010, Vintage at Goodwood was launched and we spent a great day wandering around the multitude of vintage stands that were selling a cornucopia of vintage goods. We're delighted to say that two of the exhibitors we spotted there, will be joining us on Sunday October 16th at The Dorset Vintage Wedding Fair.

The first exhibitor we are excited to introduce Jamie Bird, whose company is called X SPEX - VINTAGE FOuR EYES. Search the internet, visit vintage fairs and you will find many companies offering new, vintage inspired glasses, but very few like X Spex who offer you the original item.

"X-Spex is a dealership specialising in outstanding quality eyewear from from the 1930s to the 1970s by such fine makers as Ray Ban, American Optical, Shuron, May etc. All stock is New Old Stock (NOS), that is, it's all original, but has never been used, many coming with their original packaging. Have them glazed (or don't!) and complete that vintage look with a fine pair of hot pink, 1940s gold-filled, hand-etched frames and then compliment them with a classic browline pair for the groom or maybe even a cool, outsized, early 1970s pair. And for the honeymoon, choose from just about the finest range of quality sunglasses available. Whatever your era, X-Spex has something for you."

So for the vintage bride, who knows that "Guys do make passes at girls that wear glasses..",  how about prescription lenses fitted into one of X Spex frames to finish off your look?

Maybe vintage sunglasses for the bride and groom to add an authentic feel to those retro wedding photos.......

Vintage frames for a bridegroom who wants to make a statement......

Or a gift to the Best man for a job well done.

Catch X SPEX - VINTAGE FOuR EYES on the 16th Oct and try on some of Jamie's cool frames. Authentic, vintage and what's more, you'll look fabulous!
