We are excited to start letting you know about the fabulous exhibitors who will be joining us at The Dorset Wedding Festival on 7th April 2013 at Holton Lee, Poole.
First up is the sponsor of the vintage marquee, Dorset Dubhire.
Dorset Dubhire
We have had a love for classic VW campers for many years. After we dressed our 1975 camper ‘Ernie’
up in ribbons for a family wedding five years ago where he attracted so
much attention and so many smiles, we decided to go look at offering
these iconic vehicles as wedding transport.
Dorset Dubhire was born in May 2010 after the purchase of our beloved 1960 baby blue and ivory split screen ‘Lulu’.
We had her interior designed specifically for wedding hire, with oak
units, facing seats for that important communal feel and ivory
upholstery. Seating six adults, there is plenty of room for the largest
bridal gown, for the groom and his groomsmen or for bridesmaids. Her
first outing was to our local VW show, Vdub at the Pub in Wimborne and she was an instant hit, winning best split screen. She has won a number of trophies since! In 2012 our beautiful 1970 bay window Lottie joined us. Her gleaming lotus white finish, claret unholstery and bespoke oak interior give her a real feeling of classic style.
We
have undertaken weddings in many fantastic locations, meeting
some really wonderful couples and have thoroughly enjoyed every minute. 2013 is looking to be an extremely busy and exciting year and we're looking forward to all that it brings.
Our
aim is to ensure that our couples have a special and memorable
experience. We dress the vehicles with ribbons, flower garlands or
vintage style bunting, offer a champagne hamper, play a couple’s
favourite music during the journey and liaise with them throughout the
planning stages of their wedding to make sure everything is exactly as
they would like it to be on the day.
